Our fee starts at 25%. Never 40%. More of the settlement stays with you. Why it matters

UAW on the line.
Hurt on the floor?

Kentucky Truck Plant. Louisville Assembly. The work that built this city is hard on the body - and when a line injury takes you out, the carrier’s job is to close your file cheap. Ours is to make sure you collect everything the wreck of that shift owes you.

01 · The problem

On the line, you may have two cases, not one.

If you’re hurt at the plant, workers’ comp is the floor, not the ceiling. Comp pays your medical and a slice of your wages - but it doesn’t pay for pain, it doesn’t make you whole, and it caps out fast.

What comp misses is the third-party claim: the press manufacturer whose guard failed, the contractor whose forklift clipped you, the maintenance vendor who skipped the lockout. When someone other than your employer caused the injury, that’s a separate case with separate money - and it runs alongside your comp claim, not instead of it.

The carriers know how to play one against the other. We coordinate both so the comp lien doesn’t swallow your recovery, and so the at-fault party actually pays.

Why this one’s personal. Tony’s father, Don, gave 39 years of proud union service as a UAW member. Tony’s the first to say he doesn’t get where he is today without that - so when a UAW member is hurt, on the line or off the clock, this firm takes it personally.

02 · How we handle it

Step by step.
No mystery, no padding.

  1. 01

Lock the record while it’s fresh

Incident reports, the machine’s maintenance log, the shift’s staffing, the part that failed. Plant evidence disappears on a maintenance schedule - we move before it’s gone.

  2. 02

    Open comp the right way

We make sure your claim is filed clean with the Kentucky Department of Workers’ Claims, your average weekly wage is calculated with overtime included, and you’re seeing doctors who document the injury - not minimize it.

  3. 03

Run the third-party claim in parallel

If a manufacturer, contractor, or vendor caused the injury, we build that case at the same time - the one that pays for pain, lost earning capacity, and the full value comp won’t touch.

  4. 04

Settle the lien, not just the case

A third-party recovery can trigger a comp lien. We negotiate that lien down so the settlement lands in your pocket, not the carrier’s.

03 · Where it shows up

UAW -
five common injuries.

The injuries we see most from auto-plant members - flag anything that fits your shift.

  • 01

    Caught-in & crush

Presses, conveyors, and robotic cells. Guard failures and skipped lockout turn a routine task into an amputation or crush injury.

  • 02

    Repetitive trauma

Years of the same motion. Shoulders, backs, carpal tunnel - cumulative-trauma claims the carrier loves to call ‘pre-existing.’

  • 03

    Forklift & material handling

    Struck-by and run-over on a crowded floor. Often a third-party operator or a contractor’s equipment.

  • 04

    Falls & slips

Oil, coolant, and elevated platforms. A bad fall on concrete ends careers.

  • 05

    Chemical & thermal burns

Solvents, paint lines, weld flash, hot stamping. Exposure injuries that show up days or weeks later.
