Tony Colyer comes from a proud union family. His father, a union electrician at Ford Motor Company LAP, dedicated nearly 40 years of service to IBEW Local 369 and UAW Local 862. His maternal grandfather was a card-carrying union member at American Synthetic Rubber Company, while his maternal grandmother worked at St. Lawrence School (now Notre Dame Academy), and his mother spent her career as a middle school teacher.

Raised to be a champion of the underdog, Tony grew up understanding the importance of hard work, solidarity, and the power of collective action. He carries these values into his legal practice, believing that the justice system exists to protect citizens in their most vulnerable moments—including injury victims and hardworking union members.
