His dedication to his studies earned him a Grade Point Average of 3.53 out of 4.0, solidifying his reputation as a diligent and high-achieving student. Additionally, Rob's standing as the 7th graduate in a class of 140 is a testament to his academic prowess and commitment to excellence.

After earning his Juris Doctor degree from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 1997, where he graduated magna cum laude, Rob embarked on his legal career with a prominent firm in downtown Louisville.

There, he continued to excel academically, graduating magna cum laude in May 1997.

Driven by his ambition to delve deeper into the complexities of legal frameworks, Rob went on to pursue a Juris Doctor degree at the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, located in Louisville.

He also specialized in helping families protect their assets through strategic Medicaid planning for nursing home benefits.

In 2020, the Governor Beshear asked Rob to help lead the Department of Workers’ Claims in Kentucky, the department that adjudicates claims for injured workers. Rob eventual rose to the level of Commissioner of the Department of Workers’ Claims. After serving for two years, Rob returned to private practice as of counsel with the Colyer Law Firm and founded his own firm East End Elder and Probate Law. 

Outside of his legal practice, Rob is actively involved in his community and is committed to making a positive impact through his work and philanthropic efforts.
