A lifelong Louisvillian, Luke has deep roots in the city of Louisville and the Commonwealth. He counts among his ancestors pioneering farmers who came to the Commonwealth on rafts floating down the Ohio river as well as German immigrants who helped make the city of Louisville what it is today.

Luke’s family helped prepare him for a career as an attorney. Luke’s mother was also an attorney who dedicated her career to public service as a prosecutor with the Jefferson County Attorney’s Office where she helped protect victims of domestic violence and other crimes. From an early age, Luke was instilled with a sense of justice and a respect for the law’s role in creating a more fair society. Luke’s father is an independent financial advisor, and instilled in him the importance of client relationships and of earning a client’s trust with honesty, hard work, and understanding.

Luke was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity and was chosen by his brothers to serve on the chapter’s Judicial Board due to his trustworthiness and strong sense of fairness. At Alabama, Luke got to witness his Crimson Tide take the field under the legendary coach Nick Saban, who is famous for his belief in “The Process.” Luke believes that “The Process” is every bit as applicable in the legal profession as it is on the gridiron and that by focusing on doing the best he can for our clients in everything we do, great results will inevitably follow.

As a law clerk, Luke takes pride in being able to help clients overcome legal challenges brought against their cases, and he is even more excited about helping our clients in every step of the process as a future attorney.

Before joining the Colyer Law Firm, Luke clerked for the United States’ Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky.

Luke is now finishing his final year of studies at UofL’s Brandeis School of Law.

In his free time Luke enjoys playing golf, working out, reading, and spending time with his friends and family.

After St. X, Luke graduated in three and a half years from the University of Alabama.

Luke graduated from Saint Xavier High School, where he played lacrosse and had a perfect disciplinary record.
